Ingredients
10 Tablespoons (⅔ cup; 145g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
¾ cup (150g) packed light or dark brown sugar
⅔ cup (200g) molasses
1 large egg (at room temperature)
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3½ cups (437g) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ground ginger
½ tablespoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground allspice
Cooking Process
Step 1
Put butter, brown sugar, molasses, egg, vanilla extract flour, baking soda, salt, ground ginger, cinnamon, and allspice powder into the machine at knead mode to make the cookie dough
Step 2
Wrap the dough then put it into refrigerator for rest for 30 minutes
Step 3
After the dough is rested, use a rolling pin to roll the dough to sheet about ¼-inch thick. (Use additional flour to avoid sticking) Cut out cookies with desired cutter
Step 4
Preheat the oven at 350°F, place cookie dough onto a baking tray with parchment paper underneath bake it for 10~13 minutes at 350°F
Step 5
After cookies are cool, you may decorate them any way you like
